Acne is a chronic inflammatory condition caused by an abnormality in
the way the skin cells turnover. Fast sebaceous flow, fast cell
turnover, impaired water barrier function, TEWL (transepidermal water
loss), poor immune responses are some of the possible causes. The
effect is that cells flatten out too early and stick to the sides of
the oil glands, blocking the hair follicle.
The build-up of sebum then becomes a perfect breeding ground for
bacteria, which attaches to the bottom of the clogged mass causing a
pimple.
There are four grades of acne, representing the severity of condition, starting from simple, non-inflammatory ones, to a more severe stage with cysts becoming confluent.
Acne can be a genetic skin condition, or can be caused by external factors, such as hormonal fluctuations, stress, poor diet, medications, hot or humid climates and irritating cosmetic ingredients.
Acne can scar the skin and add extra emotional distress. At Eden Beauty Clinic we advise to commence the acne treatment as early as possible.
Our award-winning Eden Beauty team have both professional and personal experience in treating acne. A combination of high quality dermal products and professional treatments are used to treat congestion and active acne.

All scarring is the outcome of a wound healing process gone awry within the connective tissue of the dermis. Acne scars cause a textural change to the skin with depressed/indented areas, and are often caused by severe or neglected acne.
Scar tissue is a mixture of reticular collagen and fibrous scar tissue, and being not identical to the original tissue, is usually of inferior functional quality.
The ultimate goal for treating acne scars is to improve the appearance of the area, resulting in a smoother, more even skin complexion.
At Eden Beauty Clinic, our professional treatments for this form of scarring include:
Custom tailored treatments
Skin Needling (ECIT, Rejuvastamp)
Dermal Peels (super cial and medium depth peels)
IPL
Healite II Thearapy
Vascular scarring (redness)
Vascular scarring, or redness, is a type of skin trauma left behind after the acne have damaged capillaries within the skin.
This type of scarring can be treated with the following professional treatments:
Custom tailored treatments
IPL
Healite II Thearapy
Our body’s system can react to a different form of trauma by over-stimulating the melanin production. Exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation and photosensitivity, post inflammatory skin condition, medication, pregnancy and hormonal imbalances are the common triggers and causes which impact on our body, often resulting in dysfunctional skin responses.
Depending on the cause, pigmentation can be categorised as passive and inflammatory.
Passive pigmentation is related to hormonal imbalances, often caused by medications, or those experienced during pregnancy.
Stress and anxiety can produce pro-inflammatory immune response in our body, which in its turn, can lead to inflammatory type of pigmentation.
Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation is the consequence of a physical trauma such as a wound, acne, sun exposure or a rash, which causes skin to become inflamed. The excessive release of pigment granules (melanosomes), triggered by inflammation, leads to a darkening and discolouration of the injured area that remains for a long time even after the injury has recovered. The size and the intensity of discolouration is directly proportional to the degree of the inflammation that caused it.
The sun exposure is closely associated with age spots, a form of hyperpigmentation also termed as sun spots. The cumulative effect of sun exposure can remain hidden for a long time, only to appear suddenly in the form of age spots. This hidden pigmentation can start to form as early as in the teenage years.
Effective revision of the pigmentation requires a treatment program and consistent application of the prescribed skin products. In some cases, melanosomes can penetrate through all three layers of the skin, which makes it exceptionally difficult to treat even with transdermal delivery systems and laser treatments. Remodelling peels work by drawing the melanosomes up, out and off the new skin and are an effective way to revise pigmentation.
Successful skin revision treatments require a holistic approach that looks at both hormone levels and the dysfunction within the skin.
At Eden Beauty Clinic, we employ a wide range of professional treatments to revise pigmentation, including:
Custom tailored treatments
Dermal Peels
Cosmelan Peel
IPL Pigmentation Treatment

As our body ages, so does our skin. The most visible signs of this process are wrinkles, fine lines and sagging skin. Whilst genetic make-up is one of the factors of this process, the others over which we can have a greater deal of control are environmental damage and poor diet.
Signs of ageing are a reflection of a decline in the skin's functioning, most importantly a decline of collagen production. Collagen is a natural type of protein, which amongst many important functions that it has, provides our skin with structure. Having less collagen available causes the elastin fibres to breakdown over large areas within a tissue, and the skin loses its elasticity and ability to bounce back.
On the other hand, the build-up of dead cells, which protects skin against environmental aggressors, such as, free radicals and sun damage, accentuates the signs of ageing, turning fine lines into wrinkles.
The natural process of ageing is inevitable, however, extrinsic factors, such as, sun damage hasten the process leading to premature skin ageing.
At Eden Beauty Clinic, our aim is to strengthen the skin against the processes of ageing by supporting the skin’s declining enzymatic function and so to restore it to its optimal functioning.
Our experienced skin technicians are highly trained and will provide you with professional paramedical treatments and skin products that promote the reconstruction and repair of the structures within the skin.
The treatments for ageing skin revision that we recommend at Eden Beauty Clinic are:

Sensitive skin is a symptom of a skin that is in a reactive state with an impaired barrier function. Reactive skin conditions, such as rosacea and eczema, according to some research can be hereditary, however, environmental factors, such as, pollution in any form and internal ones, such as, mental or physical stress, fatigue and malnutrition may act as triggers.
What is common in both environmental and internal factors, is that they stimulate immune system causing inflammatory conditions to occur. This can happen as a reaction to preservatives in the food, or chemicals in the products we use; or as a consequence of overexertion by extended physical activity or athletic training. Fumes and toxins from the proximate environment can act as allergens, upsetting the immune system and bringing about the inflammation.
Higher concentration of inflammatory proteins increases the rigidity and restricts the healing potential of a tissue, while simultaneously weakens the regenerative processes. This leads to degradation of skin’s barrier defence systems resulting in one, or multiple, reactive skin conditions.
At Eden Beauty Clinic we are determined to restore your confidence, as reactive skin is not a condition that you have to live with. We know that, while it requires time, it is possible to revise the sensitive skin condition with our comprehensive set of treatments and professional products.
At the core of Eden Beauty Clinic’s approach is to restore the balance to skin’s functioning, helping it to regenerate itself and to bring it out of reactive state.
Cellulite is a condition that affects both men and women but it is more common in women due to the different distributions of fat, muscles and connective tissues. According to research, 80-90% of women report to have experienced cellulite.
Poor circulation and poor lymphatic drainage causes fat cells to become engorged, forming the cellulite. These cells then push against the connective tissue beneath a person’s skin and cause the surface of the skin to look lumpy.
According to severity, there are three grades of cellulite on the Nunberger-Muller scale, as published in 2009.
Grade 1 (mild) is characterised by an “orange peel” appearance with 1-4 superficial depressions and slight drooping of the skin.
Grade 2 (moderate) has a "cottage cheese" appearance with 5-9 medium depth depressions on the skin and moderate drooping.
Grade 3 (severe) has a "mattress" type appearance with 10 or more deep depressions and skin is severely drooping.
The last grade is also an indication that there is too much fatty tissue in the body, and it can be painful.
Flushing out the toxins and strengthening the connective tissue is essential for having a strong and smooth skin. At Eden Beauty Clinic, we recommend to commence cellulite revision with a body enzyme treatment in order to enhance the lymphatic and blood circulation. Enhanced circulatory systems increase the amount of oxygen in the tissue and helps the body’s systems to regulate dysfunctions and to restore its original balance.
At Eden Beauty Clinic, we provide a range of professional treatments that are often combined to obtain the best possible results:
Ultrasound cavitation: Non-surgical technology that works to reduce stubborn areas of fat and cellulite, using low frequency sound waves to target problem areas, breaking down the fatty tissue and allowing the body's natural lymphatic system to drain it out.
Radio frequency: Tightens, tones and firms loose skin. This treatments works superbly in combination with Ultrasound Cavitation to reduce fat and tighten the skin.
